Jessica Plavicki, an assistant scientist in the Pharmacuetical Sciences Division, was among only 11 winners of the 2015 Cool Science Image Contest.

Her entry of the micrograph of vasculature in the adult zebrafish brain was captured with a confocal microscope. Plavicki’s striking images have previously received recognition in a variety of scientific publications and contests.
