A new research paper from the lab of Tim Bugni, assistant professor, Pharmaceutical Sciences Division, and collaborators at UW-Madison and the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, has been selected as a “Hot Paper” by the editors of the journal Angewandte Chemie.

The article presents the discovery of forazoline A, a novel natural product from a marine bacterium, and a promising new antifungal agent with a unique mechanism of action. The article is available online, ahead of inclusion in a printed issue of the journal.
