Global Health Study Opportunities

Stone wall in Oman

Students in the School of Pharmacy may elect to study global health throughout their curriculum. Some of the coursework is offered through the UW Global Health Institute, in which the School of Pharmacy is a partner. These courses are all interdisciplinary and may include students from the School of Nursing, the School of Veterinary Medicine, and the School of Medicine and Public Health. Other courses are limited to School of Pharmacy students. All of these courses are electives and generally will apply to the professional elective requirement for graduation.

“I think studying abroad creates a unique opportunity for pharmacy students to set themselves apart from the rest. Studying abroad requires students to work and perform in new settings on a daily basis, problem solve, and broadens their life vision.”
