NIATx (Formally known as the Network for the Improvement of Addiction Treatment) represented a public private collaboration between the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Center for Substance Abuse Treatment. Dr. Ford along with Drs. Gustafson and Molfenter in the Center for Health Enhancement Support Systems created the NIATx process improvement model (www.niatx.net) and taught behavioral health providers and payers alike how to make small changes that have a big impact on outcomes. To date, over 3,500 organizations are using the NIATx process improvement model.
