Dr. Ford and Generation Connect, a gerontology-focused software development company, are working to improve the quality of life for patients with dementia with an app that lets patients experience photos, videos, and music. Assistant Professor Jay Ford, scientist Aaron Gilson, and their collaborator Generation Connect are starting work on a new R43 Phase 1 grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to enhance the Care Team Connect app for older adults with dementia, increase care partner usage, develop a clinical outcomes assessment module, and evaluate its usability.
