The Lachman Institute for Pharmaceutical Development was established in 2022 to provide a platform to coordinate, consolidate, leverage, and increase visibility of the broad biopharmaceutical research and development capabilities that exist within the School of Pharmacy.
The Lachman Institute provides coordination for the multidisciplinary research and instrumentation needs for conducting drug development that extends beyond the research activities conducted in individual divisions, centers and functional units of the School of Pharmacy. This expertise can also be leveraged across campus and for external collaborations.
Mission Statement
To provide a world-class hub for drug and biologics research and development through integrated multidisciplinary approaches unique to pharmaceutical sciences – drug discovery, action, and delivery – enabling new biotherapeutic discoveries to advance beyond the laboratory.
