On December 1, donors, guests, and more than 150 School of Pharmacy students attended the UW-Madison School of Pharmacy Student Scholarship and Award Reception. This annual event celebrates the students’ achievements and recognizes the scholarship awards they have received for the 2016-17 academic year.

Paria Sanaty, PharmD ’17, Mistress of Ceremonies, and Karen Kopacek, Associate Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs, began the evening by thanking all in attendance for their tireless efforts and the generosity of the donors who made the evening possible. Appetizers and conversation was shared by students, faculty, scholarship committee members, and donors at this intimate event.

The evening was capped off by keynote speaker, Deb Fluno, BS ‘87, Regional Director, Pharmacy Operations and Account Management for Cardinal Health, who spoke about the importance of giving back after graduation, with time, talent and/or treasure. In total, the School of Pharmacy will award over $650,000 in scholarship support during the 2016-17 academic year.
