School connection for BioForward winner

Co-D Therapeutics, a Madison-based company co-founded by Glen Kwon, professor in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Division and Jens Carstensen Distinguished Chair, was selected by Bioforward, a state biotechnology association, as a winner in its 2013 Emerging Company Showcase.

Eight early-stage companies were chosen “because they have transitioned successfully out of research and development, with good proof of concept for their products. Each was judged to have a unique value proposition.” Via polymeric and nano-medicine technology, Co-D Therapeutics is developing a novel therapeutic to treat angiosarcoma, breast cancer, and non-small cell lung cancer.
