Yu receives NIPTE grant to further co-crystals research

Lian Yu, professor in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Division, and his UW-Madison colleagues have been awarded funding to investigate the thermodynamic properties of pharmaceutical co-crystals.

The researchers have recently developed a prototype of a rapid-screening method to assess the thermodynamics of co-crystal formation. With NIPTE support, this method will be refined and implemented in industrial settings to provide needed data and predictive tools in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical co-crystals.
