Thorne invited speaker at Gordon Research Conference

Robert Thorne, assistant professor in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Division, presented a talk on diffusion ‘barriers’ in the Central Nervous System at the Gordon Research Conference – Barriers for the Central Nervous System.

Members of Thorne’s lab, Jeff Lochhead, postdoc, and Dan Wolak, graduate student, also attended and presented posters.

At the end of the meeting Thorne was elected to serve as Chair of the 2016 meeting, first serving as vice-chair at the 2014 meeting. The Gordon Research Conference is the premier meeting dedicated to brain barriers science and associated delivery issues and strategies. The meeting is held biennially and draws a select group of scientists from around the world representing both academia and industry. The 2012 conference was held June 17-22 in New London, NH.
