Walbrandt Pigarelli elected to statewide diabetes group

Denise Walbrandt Pigarelli, associate professor (CHS) in the Pharmacy Practice Division, has been elected Vice-Chairman of the Wisconsin Diabetes Advisory Group (DAG). Through the Wisconsin Department of Health Services Chronic Disease Prevention Program, DAG provides the foundation for over 80 active partners across Wisconsin who work together to improve care for individuals with diabetes statewide. It includes representatives from key organizations involved in diabetes, including the UW-Madison School of Pharmacy. In addition to the School of Pharmacy, Walbrandt Pigarelli also represents the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin,  and the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital. She will serve a two-year term beginning July 1, 2017.

Walbrandt Pigarelli’s research interests include clinical and quality of life outcomes of drug therapy and pharmaceutical care. Her academic research interests include outcomes related to instructional design and assessment.
