On behalf of the Class of 2020, second year PharmD students Griffin Budde and Devin Jones are extending an invitation to all faculty, staff, and alumni to attend the upcoming picnic. As class leaders and student pharmacists, Budde and Jones wrote and open invitation to faculty, staff, and alumni—

“As class leaders and student pharmacists, we understand how important it is to form and maintain connections to the pharmacy community throughout our time in the profession. To alumni of the program, we appreciate the generous contributions made to ensure student pharmacists are well-equipped and supported to be successful in this program.  Your giving creates a positive-feedback loop that continually gives back to future students, further advances the school, and strengthens the Badger Pharmacy community. With regards to the SOP faculty and staff, we are honored to learn from you and work with you. We hope to actively follow your example by giving back to the profession through sharing knowledge and experiences gained as students. As beneficiaries of your donations of teaching and mentoring, we want to give back (even if in a small way) by hosting a picnic for you.

As class leaders, we are dedicated to forming positive relationships and creating a strong and cohesive pharmacy network that includes faculty, staff, and alums. We hope to see you there!”

Each fall the Pharmacy Alumni Association (PAA) and school host a fall picnic to celebrate both the end of summer and the beginning of another school year. The 2017 event will be held Saturday, September 23rd at Rennebohm Park, 115 N. Eau Claire Avenue, Madison, from 5:00-9:00 p.m. The informal, family-friendly event is a time to gather and engage in community through food, fresh air, and fun activities. An R.S.V.P. is requested.
