Michelle Pizzo, graduate student studying with Robert Thorne, assistant professor in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Division, received the Best Podium Presentation Award for her oral talk titled, “Intrathecal Antibody Distribution in the Rodent Central Nervous System: Factors Governing Drug Delivery and Clinical Applications” at the 49^th Annual Pharmaceutics Graduate Student Research Meeting (PGSRM) in June.

In addition to Pizzo, graduate students Brynn Wilken-Resman, and Geetika Nehra also in Thorne’s lab group, presented posters. Pizzo was recognized with a certificate and monetary award.

Hosted at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor the 2017 theme, “Exploring Future Frontiers in Pharmaceutics,” attracted attendees from multiple graduate programs such as:
