Admission to the PharmD Program
While admission to the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program is competitive, we evaluate every applicant holistically to find those who have the background and ambition to become pharmacy leaders. We do not require or prefer a bachelor’s degree for admission; however, all applicants must complete 72 credits of prerequisite courses at any accredited college/university, which typically takes two to three years to complete.
UW–Madison offers Early Assurance for high school seniors and first-semester undergrads admitted to a Universities of Wisconsin campus. Learn more about Early Assurance, which provides an early pathway to the UW–Madison PharmD program with conditional admission.
