Dr. Huang is currently an assistant professor at National Taiwan University, the most prestigious university in Taiwan and one of the top-ranked universities in Asia. During his time as a member of the Shiyanbola Research Group, Dr. Huang coauthored six publications and completed his research in the examination of the role of health literacy and medication adherence among patients with type 2 diabetes.

As a UW–Madison School of Pharmacy graduate student, Dr. Huang won several awards including the Joseph Wiederholt Fellowship in Social & Administrative Pharmacy, William J. Tillman Teaching Assistant Award, Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society Scholar–Mid-America Chapter, and School of Pharmacy Teaching Assistant 2016–17 Performance Award. His dissertation received the Best Poster in Health Literacy Award at the International Conference of Communication in Healthcare/Health Literacy Annual Research Conference.
