As an appointed member of the National Academy for Sciences, Engineering, and Medicines Roundtable on Health Literacy, Dr. Shiyanbola moderated the January 2021 roundtable workshop on the role of critical health literacy in addressing social determinants of health. The mission of the Roundtable on Health Literacy is to inform, inspire, and activate a wide variety of stakeholders to support the development, implementation, and sharing of evidence-based health literacy practices and policies. The goal is to improve the health and well-being of all people.
