HSRP graduate student Deepika Rao and PharmD students Sierra Kuehl and Mengqi Zhang had their co-authored abstracts accepted for podium presentations at two conferences — the American Pharmacist Association Meeting and the Society of Behavioral Medicine Conference.
The Society of Behavioral Medicine Conference Abstract was also selected for 2021 Meritorious and Citation Awards. Their abstract entitled “Development of a Culturally Adapted Illness Perceptions Questionnaire for African Americans with Type II Diabetes” was chosen by the Society of Behavioral Medicine conference reviewers and Program Committee as an excellent student-authored submission. Their presentation will be highlighted on the virtual platform of the April 2021 Conference.
