COVID-19 has revealed how structural racism manifests in the health experiences and outcomes of Black, Indigenous, and other people of color. Dr. Shiyanbola participated as a panelist in the symposium, Advancing Health Equity in the Era of COVID-19, to explore these challenges and outline strategies for promoting health equity in times of crisis. The event is part of the Real Talk for Real Change symposia series, hosted by the UW–Madison School of Education’s offices.
