Dr. Shiyanbola has received a 2-year grant from Ira and Ineva Reilly Baldwin Endowment for the project “Improving Diabetes Programs for Blacks in Wisconsin: Peers as Coaches in Medicine Use” This project will gather and incorporate key stakeholders’ input in the current and future adoption of Peers LEAD plus into community organizations, health system and/or practices, and implement and measure the outcomes of Peers LEAD plus to improve medication adherence and hemoglobin A1c.
