Deepika’s abstract entitled “Development of a Culturally Adapted Illness Perceptions Questionnaire for African Americans with Type II Diabetes” was chosen by the Society of Behavioral Medicine conference reviewers and Program Committee as an excellent student authored submission. It will be recognized as a Meritorious Abstract and Citation Abstract. Her presentation will be highlighted on the virtual platform of the April 2021 Conference.
