Morteza Rasoulianboroujeni, MS

PhD Candidate, Pharmaceutical Sciences, UW–Madison School of Pharmacy
MS in biomedical engineering, Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, 2012

Morteza’s research interests are mainly drug delivery systems and polymeric biomaterials. Morteza earned his BS and MS degrees from Amirkabir University of Technology in Tehran, Iran, both with concentrations on biomaterials. He has focused on liposomes for the treatment of infectious diseases and polymeric nanoparticles for anti-cancer drug delivery in his BS and MS, respectively.

Before joining the Pharmaceutical Sciences PhD program at the UW–Madison School of Pharmacy, Morteza worked for Marquette University School of Dentistry as the Core Research Facility Manager and Research Scientist. The facility offers a wide variety of techniques for fabrication and characterization of biomaterials including 3D and bioprinting and thermal, mechanical, rheological, morphological, and biological characterization. He joined Dr. Kwon’s group in 2018 and has been working on the fabrication of polymeric nano-assemblies for cancer treatment since then. His ultimate goal is to be part of a breakthrough in translational research.
