Caroline is interested in improving cancer therapeutics outcomes by using nanoparticle drug delivery systems. While earning her BS in biology and BA in chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Caroline participated in undergraduate research understanding the interactions between gut microbiota and chemotherapeutics.
Upon joining the Hong and Kwon research groups at the UW–Madison School of Pharmacy in 2019, Caroline has been working on using peptides as targeting moieties for nanoparticle drug delivery to tumor sites. This research area encompasses multiple projects, with the ultimate goal of immunotherapeutic and chemotherapeutic nanomedicine combination therapy.
