DaWon graduated from Yonsei University in South Korea with BS in engineering. Her previous research at Yonsei University focused on developing early diagnostic tools and drug candidates for Alzheimer’s disease by targeting aggregation of amyloid-beta with Dr. YoungSoo Kim. DaWon’s research interests lie in the fields of nanomedicine, immunology, and cancer biology. Her current work is focused on enhancing peptide-based nanoparticles for cancer immunotherapy through the use of nanotechnology. To achieve this goal, she conducts extensive animal studies to better understand the immune responses elicited by the immune-modulating nanoparticles.
