Jamie Stone is a Research Services Manager at the UW–Madison School of Pharmacy in the Social and Administrative Sciences division and Sonderegger Research Center for Improved Medication Outcomes. She is also the PearlRx Network administrator. She has extensive experience in project management, IRB submissions, qualitative methods, coordination with community partners and stakeholders, and applied research. Jamie’s goal is to help design work systems that support the needs of pharmacy staff and their patients to optimize safe and high-quality care. Working at a community pharmacy during high school and completing her BS in psychology and master’s in industrial and systems engineering has given her a unique perspective by which to study this work system.
Since 2011, Jamie has worked on a multitude of grants in the Chui SAMS Lab, including pharmacy prescription handoffs, over-the-counter medication safety, and the implementation of new health technology in community pharmacies and ambulatory care settings.
