Dr. Ramos is currently leading early discovery, isolation, and characterization of novel secondary metabolites based on a metagenomic drug discovery platform. He earned his PhD in Pharmacognosy from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2014 and was a postdoctoral researcher with the Bugni Research Group from August 2014 to December 2018.
