Dr. Ellis is currently a research biologist at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory. He earned his PhD in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2011, performed postdoctoral research with Dr. Bugni from 2011–2014, and was a National Research Council fellow at NRL from 2014-2017.
