Learn about the role of psychedelics in mental health treatment

In a free pharmacy experts webinar on June 13, the UW–Madison School of Pharmacy will host a presentation on psychedelics in mental health treatment, featuring Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Cody Wenthur.

Undertreated mental health conditions are a significant global challenge. With approximately 1 in 8 individuals living with a mental disorder and approximately 100,000 individuals in the US succumbing to a fatal drug overdose each year since 2021, the ramifications of escalating morbidity and mortality are significant.

The Wenthur Laboratory aims to address this global challenge through development of novel therapeutic treatment approaches and implementation strategies surrounding the use of psychedelics, dissociative hypnotics, and other psychoactive drug classes.

This webinar will explore recent findings from Professor Wenthur’s research group, and provide context regarding their implications for future implementation of psychedelic-assisted therapy approaches.
