Join PhD student and guest curator JJ Strange for a discussion of the new exhibit “Translating Tradition: Traditional Chinese Medicine and the UW-Madison School of Pharmacy”, now on view in the exhibit cases on the first floor of Rennebohm Hall. Drawing from archival resources available in the Kremers Reference Files of the AIHP, the exhibit focuses on the cohort of Chinese students who worked with Dr. Edward Kremers in the early twentieth century, including K.K. Chen, Director of Pharmacological Research at Eli Lilly from 1929 to 1963.
The exhibit is co-sponsored by the Center for East Asian Studies and this event will be co-hosted as part of the History of Science Colloquium’s Brown Bag lunchtime lecture series. Refreshments will be provided.
