The pharmacy residents of SSM Health Monroe Clinic are hosting 3 different 1-hour long virtual open house sessions during November and December. Please join them for a virtual open house to learn more about the programs (PGY1 and PGY2), elective choices, culture of the clinic, etc. Please use this link to sign up and indicate which session you plan to attend. SSM Health Monroe Clinic is located in Monroe, Wisconsin, which is a rural town about 40 miles south of Madison. It serves a large geographical area spanning WI and IL.
- The PGY1 pharmacy residency emphasizes ambulatory care in a progressive, independent, pharmacist-led clinic. The pharmacotherapists are credentialed members of the healthcare team who work under a broad collaborative practice agreements that allow them to manage their patient's chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, heart failure, anticoagulation, and more! The residency also includes experiences in hospital medicine, administration, and many elective choices.
- The PGY2 ambulatory care pharmacy residency allows residents to manage independent practice at a branch clinic site in Freeport, Illinois about 26 miles south of Monroe. Throughout the year, the resident will gain experience practicing independently in Freeport and Monroe, precept PGY1 residents, and have exposure to several leadership and administrative duties.
