RxVIDA: A Co-Designed Patient Education Tool to Enhance Medication Knowledge and Self-Efficacy for Spanish-Speaking Patients in Rural Wisconsin

What if better health could start with clearer, more culturally meaningful information? This project explores how Spanish-speaking patients with chronic conditions in rural Wisconsin experience and understand their medications, and the barriers they face. By working directly with patients and clinic staff to co-create RxVIDA, a short video-based education tool designed to make medication information easier to understand and more relevant to everyday life. Through interviews, collaboration, and real-world testing, this study asks a simple but powerful question: can the right kind of information change how people manage their health?
