The annual Partners in Giving Campaign is currently underway! This year the School of Pharmacy will be hosting an open house to assist you with completing the pledge forms, selecting from the 500+ charities, and providing information about the campaign as a whole. We will also provide complimentary treats and coffee to any SOP member who submits their pledge form during or before the open house! CASI members will be available to assist and answer questions.

Last year the overall campaign raised over $2.5 million with the School of Pharmacy generously raising $11,176. We’ve already exceeded last year’s total – currently at $12,046 and counting – so let’s keep the momentum going and reach our 2016 goal of $15,000!

In addition to providing your support and receiving delicious treats, anyone who submits a pledge form will also be entered into a drawing for the following items:

• Autographed mini-hockey stick
• One set of four men’s hockey tickets
• One set of four women’s hockey tickets
• One set of red UW mittens
• Two vouchers from the UW Art Institute

All contributors will have their names included in the drawing, however, if you wish to participate without contributing, please notify Adam Whitehorse and we will include your name in the drawing. Names of the participants in the drawing will be accepted through the end date of the campaign, November 30th.

In gratitude to all university employees who supported the campaign, we invite you and as many as three guests to attend the Badgers women’s basketball game against Marquette on Sunday, December 11. Please accept our invitation to enjoy the game and celebrate your efforts to this year’s campaign with fellow employees. Simply review the instructions below to secure your complimentary tickets to this game.

• 2016 Partners in Giving Employee Appreciation Day:  Wisconsin Women’s Basketball vs. Marquette, Sunday, December 11 at the Kohl Center.  At the completion of your online transaction, tickets will be emailed to you as a PDF that you will need to print of the tickets and bring with you to the game. Tickets are not accepted via mobile device.
• Wisconsin Men’s Hockey – Partners in Giving Special Offer:  In addition to celebration at the 2016 Partners in Giving Employee Appreciation Day, we invite you to take advantage of these special offers for the Wisconsin Men’s Hockey series vs. University of Nebraska-Omaha at the Kohl Center.  Friday, December 2 vs. University of Nebraska-Omaha and Saturday, December 3rd vs. University of Nebraska-Omaha. Reserved tickets are $13 for both games using PARTNERSGIVING2016. Limit of 8 tickets per game per patron. Offer expires at 4:30 on game day.

More information about Partners in Giving:

Each year, state and university employees join forces to raise funds through the Partners in Giving campaign: http://giving.wi.gov/.  This year s campaign includes more than 500 charitable, social, environmental, and civic organizations. The drive will be conducted from October 10 through November 30.

The advantage of Partners in Giving is that your gift can be made to the general campaign or can be specifically directed to one or more individual charities or umbrella organizations. Donations can easily be made through payroll contribution and spread over several paychecks or on-line by credit card.

Many of us know someone who has been helped by one of the participating charities. I hope all of you will take a moment to thoughtfully read through the material you will be receiving. Please take a few minutes to complete the pledge form and return it to Adam Whitehorse (room 1218). Please retain the pink copy for you records.

If you are unable to locate your Partners in Giving packet and wish to complete a pledge form, please feel free to stop by the open house or Adam’s office and we can provide you with another packet. You may also donate online by credit card at http://giving.wi.gov.
