Participants will engage in a discussion centered around this year’s Go Big Read book selection, Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis. We will be hosting a panel discussion which will highlight some of the core themes from the book including: class and social mobility, economic and financial equity, poverty and unemployment, and family and culture. Panelists will highlight these themes as they relate to healthcare and health access. All health science faculty/staff are welcome to attend.
This session will be held on Wednesday, March 14 from 11:30am – 1:30pm in the Cooper Hall Auditorium.
