Dear Residency Candidate-
Your pharmacy school emphasized that the future of Pharmacy is practicing “at the top of your license.” You have the desire, they gave you the tools, but do you know where to receive residency training designed to meet this goal?
Many residency candidates tell us they want a balance of challenging experiences in ambulatory and acute care/inpatient environments.
Do YOU know which Chicagoland medical center boasts a clinical pharmacy program with pharmacists practicing independently in ambulatory care clinics and as integral parts of acute/inpatient patient care teams? A place that maintains appointments with various Illinois pharmacy schools, and where pharmacists are front line decision makers for the medical center to improve patient care? A department that continues to expand clinical pharmacy services, most recently cardiology and spinal cord injury clinics, and growing teams in mental health, informatics and internal medicine.
WE DO!
The Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital Residency Program invites you to join us for a virtual open house on Wednesday, November 20th from 6-730 PM CST to learn more about our pharmacy residency programs, residents, and practice. You’ll have the opportunity to meet and chat with current residents, preceptors, and program directors.
Please join us by signing up here and you’ll receive a WebEx Meeting Link afterwards. A few days prior to the 20th, you’ll receive a reminder email along with a link to submit questions you may have about our program ahead of the meeting.
