DPH-3 Pinning Ceremony

The Pinning Ceremony is a unique event that formally recognizes the students’ transition from didactic course work to full-time experiential learning. The end of the third year of the Doctor of Pharmacy program marks the end of classroom and laboratory learning. This transition to experiential education is a significant step in the professional development of the student pharmacist. During the fourth year, students apply the pharmacy practice skills and professional behaviors that have been developed within the School to patients in various healthcare settings.

It is important that students renew their personal commitment to professionalism before leaving the classroom and entering the workplace. Faculty, staff, and alumni who have supported these students during their professional development will join in celebrating this meaningful milestone.

Following the ceremony, there will be an optional reception held in the Commons.
