Discovery of Novel Degraders and Development of New Approaches to Target Undruggable Proteins

Targeted protein degradation has recently emerged as one of the hottest research topics in drug discovery. Dr. Jian Jin’s lab is a leader in this research area (Dale, et al, Nature Reviews Cancer, 2021). The Jin lab has created numerous novel small-molecule degraders targeting various oncoproteins and has also developed a number of new technologies for advancing the heterobifunctional small molecule-induced protein post-translational modification (PTM) field. Our recent progress in this research area, including several novel technologies we have developed to target undruggable proteins, will be presented.
