Graduates, you should be very proud! Despite a global pandemic that posed myriad challenges, you completed a rigorous academic program and persevered to achieve your degree. You are prepared to meet the healthcare challenges of our increasingly complex, global world.

As you graduate, you join a strong network of over 8,000 alumni who are exemplary practitioners, researchers, medical professionals, and leaders. You become a member of the Pharmacy Alumni Association, an organization for all graduates of the School of Pharmacy.

The Doctor of Pharmacy at the University of Wisconsin–Madison prepares students for a successful career meeting the challenges of our increasingly complex world. Graduates of the PharmD program benefit from the legacy of 137 years of excellence in pharmacy education at UW–Madison, graduating into an esteemed group that includes numerous leaders of national healthcare organizations, entrepreneurs, and cutting-edge practitioners.

Keynote Speaker: Azita Saleki-Gerhardt

Azita Saleki-Gerhardt, PhDDr. Azita Saleki-Gerhardt leads a global team of scientific, manufacturing, engineering, quality, and supply chain professionals responsible for supply and distribution of all AbbVie products.

She has been published in a number of scientific publications and has been awarded several patents related to pharmaceutical sciences. Dr. Saleki-Gerhardt earned her bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees in pharmaceutics from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and serves on the School of Pharmacy Board of Visitors.

Our Graduation Awards recognize excellence in our community through scholastic achievement, leadership, professionalism and service to the School of Pharmacy and the greater world, along with contributions to the profession of pharmacy. The honored individuals from the PharmD and PharmTox programs embody the characteristics of each award, many of which are sponsored by alumni and local, national or international organizations. Congratulations to the Class of 2021 Scholars! The Scholars in Pharmacy at the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Pharmacy helps PharmD students plan individualized learning and scholarship experiences through scholarly concentrations within the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum. The Scholars in Pharmacy offerings include Paths of Distinction, credit-bearing certificates, academic minors (concentrations/named options), residency tracks, and dual or combined degrees.

BS Pharmacology and Toxicology

The Pharmacology and Toxicology undergraduate program at the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Pharmacy features an interdisciplinary, biomedically-rich, human-health focused curriculum that prepares students for scientific careers as well as for graduate work or study in health professional programs.
