His Path to Research
Ephrem Abebe (MS ’14, PhD ’16) came to the UW–Madison School of Pharmacy from Ethiopia, driven by the motivation to improve medication safety and pivot his career from pharmacy practice to research. He is now at Purdue University College of Pharmacy.
In the Crime Lab
PharmTox alumna Melisa Wittkowske (BS ’06) oversees the DNA Databank Unit of the Wisconsin State Crime Laboratory. Her team processes DNA samples and enters them into the FBI-owned Combined DNA Index System to help uncover investigative leads.
