Emeritus Professor Richard (Dick) Peterson first joined the faculty of the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Pharmacy in 1975, with a focus on toxicology and a dual appointment in the UW–Madison Molecular and Environmental Toxicology Center. Through his decades of teaching, researching, and mentoring graduate students in the School’s Pharmaceutical Sciences PhD program, he has left an enormous impact on the field of molecular toxicology.
In celebration of his career and the careers he helped launch, his colleagues and alumni of his lab held a symposium in Rennebohm Hall, inviting speakers and poster presentations by his trainees and others whose research is inspired by Peterson’s legacy.
