Fifty five years ago, the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Pharmacy created a two-year dual masters program and residency in health systems pharmacy administration with UW Health, which has thrived over the years and launched the leadership careers of hundreds of talented pharmacists. This year, many of the program’s graduates gathered to celebrate each other’s achievements, hear what’s new with the program, and reconnect.
The three-day gathering included a tailgate at the Pyle Center, a golf outing, a tour of the new UW Health Pharmacy Services building, and a formal event to welcome honorary resident inductees and give special recognition to David Zilz (BS ’62, MS ’64), Tom Thielke (BS ’67, MS ’69), and Pam Ploetz (BS ’68) for their contributions and leadership in pharmacy.
