Karen Kopacek, clinical assistant professor in the Pharmacy Practice Division, has been selected as a Fellow of the UW-Madison Teaching Academy.
Nominees are recognized as outstanding university educators who are concerned about teaching, and who want to enrich the learning environment at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Recipients typically demonstrate excellence through classroom innovation, program development, grant funding, publications, presentations, or committee work related to teaching or learning.
Founded in 1993, The Academy promotes effective teaching and learning on the UW-Madison campus and nationally. Fellows encourage learning innovation, experimentation, and dialogue throughout the campus community and within their disciplines. In addition, they contribute to the Academy’s endeavors including the summer institute, winter retreat and monthly meetings.
Kopacek joins School of Pharmacy faculty colleagues, Connie Kraus and Beth Martin, also fellows of the Teaching Academy. Kopacek will officially become a member at the induction ceremony to be held in late April.
