A mini review co-authored by Glen Kwon, professor in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Division, was distinguished as the fifth-most highly cited article in 2009 by the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (JPharmSci).
In tabulating this list, JPharmSci considers all papers published in its journal, irrespective of their date of publication. Titled “Amphiphilic Block Copolymers for Drug Delivery”, (J. Pharm. Sci., 92, 1343-1355, 2003), other co-authors were Monica Adams (Wisconsin PhD’03) and Afsaneh Lavasanifar, associate professor at the University of Alberta.
Professor and Dean Emeritus George Zografi, along with co-author Bruno Hancock, research fellow at Pfizer, Inc., were also named to this “top ten list of most highly cited JPharmSci articles in 2009” for “Characteristics and Significance of the Amorphous State in Pharmaceutical Systems” (J.Pharm.Sci., 86, 1-12, 1997).
