Ryan Peterson, a third-year pharmaceutical sciences graduate student in the laboratory of Ben Shen, professor in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Division and Charles Johnson Chair in Pharmacy, won a “best poster” award at the inaugural David Perlman Symposium on Antibiotic Discovery and Development held April 23.

The Departments of Medical Microbiology/Immunology and Bacteriology sponsor the symposium, which highlights medical aspects of antibiotic and microbiological research at UW-Madison. The symposium is held in honor of the career and research of the late David Perlman, former professor and dean at the School of Pharmacy.
