SOP grad students recognized with innovation award

Thomas Diezi and Kyle Kleinbeck, pharmaceutical sciences graduate students, are among four UW-Madison graduate students who have been selected to receive a Baxter Innovation Award from Baxter Healthcare Corporation, Deerfield Ill.

The award program is designed to stimulate and reward research that can be directly used for critical care therapies and the development of medical products that save and sustain patients’ lives. They will be recognized in an awards ceremony at Baxter’s Chicago-area world headquarters on September 25. Diezi is a fourth year graduate student from Switzerland who works in the laboratory of Professor Glen Kwon. Kleinbeck is a third year graduate student from Waukesha, Wis. who studies in the laboratory of Professor W. John Kao.
