Senior Student Services Coordinators, Emily Tarter and Rebecca Beebe, along with Student Services Coordinator, Katy Tomlinson, from the school’s Student & Academic Affairs Office have been selected to present at the Wisconsin Academic Advising Association (WACADA) annual meeting.

The presentation, “How to prevent your ship from sinking: Helping students navigate the turbulent waters of social media,” will address strategies for teaching students appropriate and professional use of social media platforms, a discussion of the potential impacts social media can have on current and future educational and career prospects, as well as the social and emotional impact on students.

WACADA is a statewide professional association for academic advisors and is an affiliate of the National Academic Advising Association. The meeting will be held in September in Oshkosh.
