Important Notes Concerning the Fall 2017 Admissions Process
  • The UW-Madison School of Pharmacy has a rolling admissions decision process. Rolling admissions means your application will be reviewed shortly after a complete PharmCAS and UW-Madison Supplemental Application are received.
  • The deadline for Fall 2017 admission is January 5, 2017. Although incoming applications will be reviewed on a continual basis, you are encouraged to submit your application early to receive priority in selection, as interview spaces and seats in the class become limited closer to the deadline.
  • Under the new admissions process, our selection criteria and holistic review process will remain the same.  Prerequisite coursework will also remain the same.
  • The PharmCAS and Supplemental Applications are currently available for Fall 2017 admission.
  • We will accept all of the 2016-2017 PCAT exam dates. Note that your application will not be reviewed without an official PCAT score submitted to PharmCAS.
  • The Early Decision program is a binding option for applicants who have decided that our pharmacy program is their first choice and they will enroll if accepted. As an Early Decision applicant, you can apply to only one pharmacy degree program. If you’ve met the minimum GPA requirement for admission (an overall cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 or 3.2 over the most recent 60 semester credits), you will be guaranteed an interview if you apply as an Early Decision applicant. If you are not admitted into our program initially through early decision, you will be allowed to apply to other pharmacy programs, including UW-Madison as a regular applicant. PharmCAS can take up to 4-6 weeks to verify applications so you are encouraged to submit your complete application as soon as possible.
  • IMPORTANT NOTE: Please use the information in this section as a reference if you plan to apply for the Fall 2018 term.  The admissions process for Fall 2018 will be very similar to Fall 2018. Updated prerequisite requirements for Fall 2018 have been posted.  Updated dates concerning Fall 2018 admissions will be posted in mid-June.
