PhD candidate recognized with Student Innovation Award

Mingming Ma, PhD candidate working under the guidance of Lingjun Li, associate professor in the Phamaceutical Sciences Division, was awarded a 2008 Bausch & Lomb Student Innovation Award.

Both student and professor were provided an all expense paid trip to Bausch & Lomb’s Optics Center in Rochester, New York to participate in an awards ceremony, where Mingming had the opportunity to present her research to an audience of company scientists and to tour the center. Mingming’s research focuses on the development and application of mass spectrometry-based analytical tools and bioinformatic strategies for large-scale discovery and functional analysis of novel neuropeptides. She holds a BS and MS in pharmaceutical sciences from Zhejiang University.
