Patient communication is symposium focus

Betty Chewning, professor, Social & Administrative Sciences Division and Director of the Sonderegger Research Center, and Beth Martin, professor (CHS), Pharmacy Practice Division presented a symposium at the International Conference on Communication in Healthcare held October 2 in Montreal, Canada.

Titled “Patient Participation in Medicine Consultations: Patient Expectations, Style Preference and Self-Efficacy – Research from Canada and the USA, ” Chewning and Martin co-presented with Lisa Guirguis, Alberta, Canada, and Suzan Kucukarslan, Michigan. Carol Kobulnicky also presented at the conference.
