Mitchell receives outstanding service award

Joni Mitchell, program assistant in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Division, and a School of Pharmacy employee since 1982, has been selected to receive a 2009 UW-Madison Classified Employee Recognition Award (CERA). Mitchell is one of five employees from across campus who will be honored at a Chancellor’s reception April 29 and in Wisconsin Week.

The qualities that merit a CERA nomination include the employee’s promotion of excellence, job behavior/promotion of a positive workplace, initiative of innovative ideas that are implemented, resulting in better service/efficiency and service outside of the normal work setting. Mitchell was nominated by Dick Peterson, professor and chair, and Bill Mellon, professor, in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Division.
