Research by Marcelo Vargas, a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Jeff Johnson, professor in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Division, was reported in the current issue of the Journal of Neuroscience.

The experiments prolonged the life and slowed nerve deterioration in a mouse with a genetic form of ALS. The research was also highlighted in campus media and The Capital Times.
