Five SOP faculty awarded ICTR research funding

Lingjun Li and Sandro Mecozzi, associate professors in the Pharmaceutical Sciences Division, Warren Rose, assistant professor (CHS), and Eva Vivian, clinical associate professor in the Pharmacy Practice Division and Henry Young, assistant professor in the Social and Administrative Sciences Division were among 21 investigators receiving pilot funding from The Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (ICTR).

Type 1 Translational and Clinical Research funding was awarded to Li, Mecozzi, and Rose. The research covers novel clinical interventions and translational type I research projects, including basic science or clinical studies, or novel technologies. Vivian and Young received Type 2 Translational Research funding in which research focuses on translating new and existing findings into improvement in clinical practice and community health.

Pilot project applications were from across the medical and community areas and included a diverse range of focus. This was the third round of funding since ICTR’s inception.
